The World Bank Group’s International Development Association, or IDA, recently released a retrospective on its 20th financing cycle, a period marked by overlapping global crises. IDA Youth Champions Cynthia Nafula Nyongesa and Chimwemwe John Paul Manyozo reflect on what IDA20 achieved across 78 countries, from 24.6 million people gaining access to financial services to nearly 40 percent of resources reaching fragile and conflict-affected settings. But for young people, the bigger question is what comes next, and how the lessons of IDA20 can be turned into even greater opportunity for the next generation.
