Terms of Agreement
Terms of Use for MindGov.com Effective Date: December 24, 2025
By accessing or using MindGov.com (the "Site"), an independent commentary and analysis blog focused on governance and policy issues, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not access or use the Site. We may update these Terms at any time; changes will be posted here, and your continued use constitutes acceptance.
Important Age Restriction The Site is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. By accessing or using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We do not direct our content or services to individuals under 18. Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for supervising and monitoring their children's online activities, including any access to or use of the Site. If a minor uses the Site, parents/guardians assume full responsibility for any consequences.
1. Use of the Site The Site provides informational commentary and analysis on governance, policy, and societal issues for personal, non-commercial use. Prohibited actions include: copying, reproducing, or distributing content without permission; commercial exploitation; automated scraping; or any unlawful activity. International users must comply with local laws; we respect Berne Convention protections for automatic copyright reciprocity across member states.
2. Code of Conduct In using the Site (including any interactive features such as comments, if enabled), you must behave in a civil and respectful manner at all times. Further, you will not:
- Act in a deceptive manner (e.g., by impersonating any person);
- Harass or stalk any other person;
- Harm or exploit minors;
- Distribute "spam";
- Collect information about others without consent; or
- Advertise or solicit others to purchase any product or service (unless you are an official partner with a written agreement).
The Site owner has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor all conduct on and content submitted to the Site. Violations may result in removal of content, suspension, or termination of access.
3. Membership and Registration (If Applicable) Certain features (e.g., commenting, newsletters, or subscriptions, if implemented) may require registration by providing a user name, password, and valid email address. You must provide complete and accurate information, notify us of changes, and represent that you are 18 or older. If representing a business, government, or non-profit, the account holder must have authority to bind the entity.
- User Name: Use your real name or actual organization name. You may not use names violating third-party rights, obscene, or objectionable.
- Account Security: You are responsible for all activity under your account, including by unauthorized users. Safeguard your password and log out from shared devices. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.
4. User Contributions and Content Restrictions If you submit any content (e.g., comments, text, or other works—collectively, "User Content"): You may not submit User Content that:
- Infringes any third party's copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or other rights;
- Contains sexually explicit content or pornography (non-sexual nudity may be permitted in context);
- Contains hateful, defamatory, discriminatory content or incites hatred against any individual or group;
- Exploits minors;
- Depicts unlawful acts, extreme violence, animal cruelty, or promotes fraudulent/MLM/get-rich-quick schemes; or
- Violates any law.
You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, moderate, display, or remove your User Content. You warrant that it does not infringe rights and agree to indemnify us against related claims. We may remove any User Content at our discretion without notice.
5. Intellectual Property All Site content (text, analyses, embeddings) is owned by MindGov.com or licensed. Embeddings of third-party videos (e.g., YouTube) are for criticism, commentary, and informational analysis (see our Copyright Policy). You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written consent.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim liability for inaccuracies, interruptions, third-party content, User Content, or any damages (direct, indirect, consequential, or punitive) arising from use. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall our total liability to you for all damages, losses, or causes of action exceed $1 (one U.S. dollar).
For EU/UK users and under applicable law, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death/personal injury, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be limited by law.
7. Privacy Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
8. Termination We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, without notice, for violations or other reasons.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the State of Delaware. International users: We comply with Berne Convention/TRIPS obligations; mandatory local laws (e.g., EU consumer directives) apply where required.
10. Indemnification You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MindGov.com, its owners, affiliates, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, violations of these Terms, or User Content.
11. Miscellaneous If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. No waiver unless in writing. These Terms constitute the entire agreement. Contact: [legal@mindgov.com]
