Trademark Policy
Trademark Policy Effective Date: December 24, 2025
MindGov.com is an independent commentary and analysis blog dedicated to respectful and lawful use of intellectual property, including trademarks. This Trademark Policy outlines our approach to trademarks in our content, embeddings, and user submissions. We comply with applicable trademark laws, including the U.S. Lanham Act (15 U.S.C. §1051 et seq.), EU Trademark Regulation (EU 2017/1001), and equivalent international frameworks. Your use of the Site is governed by our Terms of Use.
1. Our Use of Third-Party Trademarks Our original commentary and analysis may reference or display third-party trademarks (e.g., brand names, logos in embedded publicly available videos or images) solely for informational, criticism, commentary, or news reporting purposes.
- Such use is intended to constitute nominative fair use under U.S. law (e.g., referencing a mark to identify the goods/services in governance/policy discussions without suggesting sponsorship or affiliation).
- We do not use trademarks in a way that implies endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with MindGov.com.
- Internationally, this aligns with permitted uses such as descriptive or referential fair use, where no confusion as to origin occurs and no harm to the distinctive character or repute of the mark (e.g., under EU trademark exhaustion principles or common law defenses).
Embeddings or references stream/display content directly from original sources; no trademarks are altered, hosted, or used as source identifiers for our Site. All rights in third-party trademarks remain with their respective owners.
2. User-Generated Content and Trademarks If you submit content to the Site (e.g., comments or other contributions):
- You represent and warrant that your submissions do not infringe any third-party trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
- You grant us a limited license to display your content in connection with the Site.
- You agree to indemnify us against any claims arising from trademark infringements in your submissions. We reserve the right to remove any user content that may infringe trademarks or cause confusion.
3. Reporting Trademark Infringements We take trademark claims seriously and respond promptly. If you believe a trademark has been used on the Site in a way that constitutes infringement (e.g., causing confusion, dilution, or tarnishment):
Provide a written notice with the following details:
- Identification of the trademark(s) claimed to be infringed (including registration number(s), if applicable);
- Description of the alleged infringing use (including precise URL(s) on the Site);
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the trademark owner, agent, or law;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury (where applicable), that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner;
- Evidence of your trademark rights (e.g., registration certificates).

Upon receipt of a complete notice, we will review and may remove or disable the allegedly infringing material. We may notify the affected user and provide an opportunity for response.
International Claims For claims under non-U.S. jurisdictions (e.g., EU or national laws), provide equivalent details. We will evaluate and respond in accordance with applicable laws.
4. No Endorsement References to third-party trademarks on the Site do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation. MindGov.com is independent and non-partisan.
5. Repeat Infringers We may terminate access for users involved in repeated infringements.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability The Site and its services are provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall our total liability to you for all damages, losses, or causes of action exceed $1 (one U.S. dollar).
For EU/UK users and under applicable law, nothing in this Policy limits or excludes liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death/personal injury, fraud, statutory trademark remedies, or other liabilities that cannot be limited by law.
