Money sent home by migrants abroad significantly contributes to development, according to a new report by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Speaking at the launch in Dhaka, Bangladesh, IOM Director General Amy Pope called for safe pathways to harness the benefits of migration that accrue to both sending and receiving countries.
