At the G7 One Health Summit in Lyon, world leaders gathered around an urgent message: a health risk can become a global security crisis at a moment's notice. And we are only safe if everyone is safe. This film captures the voices of Aki Nishio, World Bank VP for Development Finance, and other world leaders and health experts who came together to make the case for investing in health systems — before the next health crisis, not after. Since 2021, the World Bank Group has committed approximately $4 billion across 34 One Health projects spanning health, agriculture, and the environment. And the WBG's International Development Association or IDA has been crucial to this work, bringing financing, technical expertise, and boots on the ground to low-income countries that need it most.
